¡Hola, welcome to Mexico!
- Mexico is located in Central America in between the United States ( North of Mexico) and Guatemala (South of Mexico). Now I know that Mexico is often placed in North America, but that is mostly for political reasons. The majority of Mexicans see themselves as central Americans.
- The Mexican flag has three vertical bands: first green, followed by white and then red. The Mexican coat of armors is located in the center of the white vertical band.
- Ciudad de Mexico or D.F (Mexico City) is Mexico's capital city with a population of over 20,000,000 people.
- Another city of Mexico is Puebla with a population of over 1,490,000 people.
- You would think that a big Spanish speaking country such as Mexico would have Spanish as its official language. In actuality, Mexico has no official language even if Spanish is used throughout the country. There are more than 60 indigenous languages that have survived so far, and that is one of the reasons why Spanish is not the official language of Mexico.
- National animal: Golden Eagle
- Mexico's official sport is Charreria.
- And, anybody's favorite: Food.
